Snowy tree kaleidoscope.

As part of tomorrow’s K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, over at Return of the Internet Nobody, I created some abstract images using the bare, snow covered trees at the bottom of our garden, with the odd daffodil thrown in for a splash of colour.

Then I decided to carry on mucking about and made quite a few extra.

Here’s a preview of the full collection.

On Friday, K’lee left us the prompt ofFuturism and I decided to go with a possible sci-fi future event which I have called The Arrival

So, show us your fabulous futuristic photos and astound us with your creativity.

K’lee’s offering will appear HERE when he posts later, but for now, here is KG’s entry.

Cosmic Photo redux…

I was rather pleased with the results of today’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, especially since I used very little in the way of actual effects to produce the pictures that I posted, just a bit of tweaking.

However, due to my inability to leave a good image un-mucked about with, I’d now like to present my Cosmic Photo redux; a foil, if you will, to the six crinkly offerings from this morning.

Hold onto your eyeballs…

Yes, I’m afraid it’s Monday again, but look on the bright side; Monday means it’s time for K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, today brought to you by the prompt, Architecture.

I was very gratified to see there was already a post waiting for me when I woke up this morning, and from a new participant, too! (You can check out Marie’s entry here.)
So I thought I’d make sure mine was posted early, giving you plenty of time to find inspiration.

You should know by now that I often like to go the abstract route with my challenge, this week’s being no exception.
I decided to go for an industrial look today, using this original photo of the skylights in the roof at work, taken at six this morning…

…and mucking about with it, until I arrived at this selection of strangely organic constructions;

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

I thought I’d go for a touch of surrealism for this week’s challenge, I hope you like it…

I’ve just about got time to fit in this week’s photo, before I get back to my packed schedule (the A-Z challenge continues later) so without further ado, here’s an odd little collage, which for obvious reasons is called “Duck tunnel”

Arboretum of the imagination: Meetings with impossible trees…

Meetings with Remarkable Trees, by Thomas Pakenham, is a fabulous book and it’s where I stole the idea for the name of this post.

Other than that, there’s no connection, except for the trees, obviously…
