During the first lockdown in March 2020 when I was furloughed from work, I ran a strand on Return of the Internet Nobody called Isolation Radio, a multimedia extension of my recurring feature, The Melodic Randomiser.
I decided that for however long the posts ran, I would make a unique image each day, using only this single photo I used for the Isolation Radio logo…
…which I manipulated into various new mutations to advertise each day’s blog “show” on my Instagram.
These eventually evolved into short videos and animated GIFs; which I made using all manner of ingenious combinations of editing processes, soundtracked by some of the strange music I was creating with synthesiser apps.
