Light morphing…

For one of my recent contributions to the weekly  Cosmic Photo Challenge on  Diary of an Internet Nobody I captured some car light trails and today I decided to use them for another abstract art experiment.

The glowing nature of the original images made for excellent source material, resulting in some rather awesome light sculptures, I hope you like them.

Well, I’ve got to find something to do on my day off.

More experiments with light painting…

Having found Audrey’s colour changing glitter lamps useful for making the gif in this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, I decided to see what sort of images I could get by using them for light painting.

So last night I shut myself in a dark room for half an hour and these gloriously vibrant creations are the result…

(Yes, I know the “y” is backwards, I got confused, ok.)

Playing with abstracts…

Here are a few experiments in abstract art, using random shots of industrial components.

Just because it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Update: Mucking about with candles and sparklers on Audrey’s birthday, (with full safety precautions, obviously) I made some more abstract images that I rather like:

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Today’s metallic mixture on the Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Diary of an Internet Nobody.(Archive)

Welcome to metallic Monday on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I chose the theme for this week’s challenge on Friday and it was simply this; Metal.

Whatever metallic materials you wish to use for your photographic subject are acceptable; shiny, rusty, intricate, industrial, sculpted, molten, anything you like, as long as it’s metal.

I went the lightweight route, using aluminum foil in varying stages of scrunchiness, under different light sources and with a selection of coloured surfaces to reflect from, to create these artistic images.

K’lee’s photo for today can now be foundHERE.

Now, it’s your turn.

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or toK’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.

Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

I thought I’d go for a touch of surrealism for this week’s challenge, I hope you like it…

I’ve just about got time to fit in this week’s photo, before I get back to my packed schedule (the A-Z challenge continues later) so without further ado, here’s an odd little collage, which for obvious reasons is called “Duck tunnel”

Arboretum of the imagination: Meetings with impossible trees…

Meetings with Remarkable Trees, by Thomas Pakenham, is a fabulous book and it’s where I stole the idea for the name of this post.

Other than that, there’s no connection, except for the trees, obviously…

Picture this: The promise of Spring…

Still getting used to my new camera (yes, it’s just another phone) so I thought I’d take advantage of the sunshine today and capture the beauty of Spring.

Diary of an Internet Nobody.(Archive)

For the first time this year, it finally feels like Spring has sprung and, with the second of two days of glorious sunshine this weekend, it was a perfect day for a stroll in the park.

I’d been wanting an excuse to play with my new camera anyway…
