K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Yesterday’s Cosmic Photo Challenge post, remembering our fallen heroes…

Diary of an Internet Nobody.

Good morning and welcome to a new week and a new edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

You have my sympathy if you are waking up to another Monday at work, because I’m on holiday for a couple of days and this post is automatically scheduled(there’s no chance I’m actually awake as this is posted) sinceI managed to get it all edited last night.

This week’s theme was; Remembrance,to coincide with armistice day, commemorating the end of World War I, as a tribute to the men and women who served and continue to serve in the armed forces around the world.

Here is a link to K’lee’s photo, now it’s time for you to show us what you’ve got for us…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Today’s Cosmic Photo Challenge goes out on the town…

Diary of an Internet Nobody.

Hello again, I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend, filled with plenty of inspiration for theCosmic Photo Challenge that I set you on Friday.

The prompt was Street life, which I hope prodded you in the direction of trying out some candid street photography, or at least capturing some creative urban images that evoke the eclectic and vibrant life on the streets of our towns and cities.

I was fortunate, in that Saturday was carnival day in Barnstaple (note for American readers; a “carnival” in England is a parade, with floats, marching bands, costumes etc, sometimes by torchlight in the evening, not just a fairground, although the two generally do go together) and Audrey was intent on taking part in the kids’ procession early in the afternoon. So we headed into town in the morning to find a costume for her, eventually finding a very…

Today’s night and day challenge…

Diary of an Internet Nobody.

Welcome to another new week and another new edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, the theme of which was set by K’lee on Friday and he asked you to come up with one photo from the daytime and two from the night.

I went for a straightforward black and white shot for my daylight option, snapped in the garden over the weekend, followed by a couple I took last night, from above and next to a road respectively, using a long exposure to capture the trails of car lights.

Cat tail…

…to car trails; first seen from a flyover…

…and then reflected in the side of my car

K’lee’s photois HERE, so go and check it out, then show us what you have to offer.

Update:Bonus photo – This is what it looks like if you stick a camera to your windscreen and…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Today’s metallic mixture on the Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Diary of an Internet Nobody.

Welcome to metallic Monday on K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I chose the theme for this week’s challenge on Friday and it was simply this; Metal.

Whatever metallic materials you wish to use for your photographic subject are acceptable; shiny, rusty, intricate, industrial, sculpted, molten, anything you like, as long as it’s metal.

I went the lightweight route, using aluminum foil in varying stages of scrunchiness, under different light sources and with a selection of coloured surfaces to reflect from, to create these artistic images.

K’lee’s photo for today can now be foundHERE.

Now, it’s your turn.

Today’s challenge post, on Diary of an Internet Nobody….

Time for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, with today’s theme being, simply; Stone.

We’re spoilt for choice in the West Country, what with all the beautiful stone architecture and ancient stone monuments, so I thought I’d pick a selection, including an abandoned Cornish tin mine, a Neolithic settlement on Bodmin moor, some interesting rock formations, starting off with one of my favourite local stone buildings in Barnstaple.
